GILL ADARSH CYBER SCHOOL-Going the neoteric way
The onset of the pandemic with its dramatic effect on life has led to a rapid paradigm shift in the entire educational system worldwide. Gill Adarsh promptly jumped on the bandwagon of virtual learning with much adroitness.
Our schools have adopted a Communication App. which has been designed intricately to meet the ever growing demands of online education. The app offers a whole gamut of utilitarian features that enable screen casts, multimedia presentations and live sessions via Gmeet. The CONTENT LIBRARY of App gives students ready access to study materials, relevant videos and resources duly uploaded by teachers. Students can also download assignments and worksheets at the end of each session.

The Parents’ Portal of the App facilitates seamless tracking of the Child’s performance through reviewing report cards as well as corrected answer sheets of the exams done online. Marks obtained in the previous assessments too can be viewed at any point of time. Additionally parents can receive attendance alerts thereby intimating them of their ward’s attendance. Parents can also catch a glimpse of the total number of days their ward had been present at any given time.
Despite the lull created by the pandemic, there was never a moment when our school compromised on celebrations of days of special significance like the Children’s Day, Diwali, Christmas or Pongal and other National Festivals. In all, student participation was overwhelming. Fortunately our schools have an incredibly resourceful bunch of individuals as teachers who have plenty of clever ideas up their sleeves that never permit dampening of student morale

Meet The Advisory Board

Vikram Aggarwal

President

Mr Vikram Aggarwal has over 38 years of experience in a variety of industries, including garment export houses, construction and real estate, and the hospitality industry. He is currently the Chairman of two hotels, the Radisson Blu Hotel Chennai City Centre and Park Plaza Chennai OMR, which employ close to 500 people and he is also the promoter of ASTA properties.

Ramesh Lamba

General Secretary

Shri Ramesh Lamba, General Secretary, Punjab Association, after education at Coonor involved in fleet business, viz. Prakash Roadlines at George Town, Chennai, and subsequently associated with PAFEX (Prakash Airfreight Express) in collaboration with International Courier concern viz. FEDEX. After his retirement as Director of the Company in 2008, he fully devotes his time to the activities of the Association and its various units. His association with Punjab Association was very long and he became its active member (Executive Committee Member) in 1991, elevated to the position of Treasurer of the Association during 1996, and elected as the Association’s General Secretary during 2002 and continues as such till date due to his thorough knowledge in administration. Due to his contribution to minority communities, the Government of Tamil Nadu has honoured him with the post of Secretary, Tamil Nadu Minority Commission for a period of three years, sometime back. His mission and vision to work for the downtrodden and minority communities will go a long way.

Praveen K Mehra

Chairman - Education Committee

Praveen Mehra, is a proud alumnus of Adarsh Vidyalaya, the first of the Adarsh Group of Institutions, ( passed out of 4th Std,in 1977),. He owes his CBSE All India 32 nd Rank in the 10th Board and the All India I st Rank in 12th CBSE Board, Commerce Group, to the strong foundation he got in the kindergarten and Primary schooling in Adarsh. He followed this up with All possible Gold Medals in the Prestigious Loyola College, Chennai.A Rotarian of 3 decades standing with several achievements and positions served at, a leading Printer of National repute, Founder President of TACMA, the face of the Tamil Nadu Computer Stationery Manufacturers Association,a Spiritualist and a past President of Manav Uththan Sewa Samiti, a Spiritual Organisation. Passionate about Education and a deep interest in the shaping of young lives and set them on the right path in life, Praveen found his Call answered when he was called to shoulder the responsibility of Chairman Education Committee in the Punjab Association. Praveen Mehra had the vision to take his Alma
Mater, Adarsh Group to a position of leadership in the region. Several futuristic plans are in the pipeline and he aims to give his best to take Punjab Association to a position of sublime glory.

Providing Holistic Education producing Strong, Happy Children, resilient to the upheavals of life, and ready to face their lives with Self Confidence and a high amount of Self Esteem, is a passion he wants to live through his present role in life.

AJAY BHALLA

Mr. Ajay bhalla belongs to the family of early settlers in Chennai (Pre Independence). An aluminium of Adarsh Vidyalaya to be inducted in the committee in 1992 and a successful Treasurer from 2002 to 2019 a senior Vice President from 2019 to 2023 and back to the post of treasurer - was a vice president in the presidency club. A member of the DAV schools Educational Trust, an Active Round Tabler, Lions Club and Freemason by profession involved in the import of Steel for power project for the state Government and Multinationals.

Adarsh Group of Institutions

Adarsh group of institutions is managed by The Punjab Association. The Punjab Association owes an irredeemable debt of gratitude to its Founder President, the late Lt.Col. Gurdial Singh Gill and the late General Secretary Shri P.N. Dhawan, who during their unbroken stewardship marked by keen insight, far-sighted vision and crusading spirit, had amazingly built up a stupendous service structure of many actively working units devoted to serve the cause of Education, Medicare, Social Service and Rural Welfare. The idea of Shri P.N. Dhawan at a meet of 5 families on 01.12.1937 to form an Association has miraculously transformed into a major Social Service Organization viz. The Punjab Association.
