I am honoured and pleased to be part of The Punjab Association’s Gill Adarsh Matric Higher Secondary School, Chennai. I am happy to welcome students, parents, and The Punjab Association members to Gill Adarsh School website!
The Management, teaching and non teaching staff at Gill Adarsh take great pride in our school, and we work hard together with our Punjab Association members to offer educational, athletic, social and community-based opportunities focused on engaging our students and providing each child with opportunities to achieve, succeed and thrive. We are focused on preparing our students for a successful life by ensuring their academic, physical, emotional and social needs are met in a caring and welcoming environment.
Gill Adarsh School is committed to create an environment that is safe and academically focused and provides pastoral care and guidance to the subtle youth. We know that learning happens with fine instruction and replication to make knowledge meaningful. We aspire to be the best at teaching and learning, using research-based instructional strategies to meet the needs of all students. We also believe that rewards are the greatest when shared in collaboration. I urge all parents to please continue to stay in touch with your child’s teachers and thus join hand-in hand in this never-ending process of moulding and shaping young minds, for I believe together we can harvest the goodness in our youth.

Who We Are
Founded in the year 1980, and located in a spacious campus just in the heart of the city, Gill Adarsh is one of Chennai's paramount co-educational schools. It was inaugurated by the then Honourable President of India, Ghaini Zail Singh who dedicated the school to the Founder Lt. Col. G.S. Gill. The school has evolved over the years into a fine heritage with outstanding facilities and excellent academic results and takes pride in its strength of over 3000 students and 110 classrooms.

A culture of excellence that prevails in the school has been accredited to a strong and competent leadership team working alongside a group of highly qualified and proficient academic staff who are truly devoted to the welfare of the students. The environment is very supportive enabling students to accomplish their goal and realize their true potential. It also gives an impetus for a promising career in India and abroad. At this juncture, it's apt to mention that our school exults over its state rank holders. The atmosphere at school is that of a home away from home providing a haven to its students.

About Punjab Association
Adarsh group of schools is managed by The Punjab Association. The Punjab Association owes an irredeemable debt of gratitude to its Founder President, the late Lt.Col. Gurdial Singh Gill and the late General Secretary Shri P.N. Dhawan, who during their unbroken stewardship marked by keen insight, far-sighted vision and crusading spirit, had amazingly built up a stupendous service structure of many actively working units devoted to serve the cause of Education, Medicare, Social Service and Rural Welfare. The idea of Shri P.N. Dhawan at a meet of 5 families on 01.12.1937 to form an Association has miraculously transformed into a major Social Service Organization viz. The Punjab Association.
