SPORTS ACHIEVERS

​

 The XXVI Gill Kabaddi and XXIV Volleyball Inter School Tournaments were held at
our school premises on July 29 th 2022. Around 14 schools participated in the
Volleyball tournament and 8 schools participated in the Kabaddi Tournament. In the Kabaddi tournament, Nellai Nadar Hr. Sec. School were the winners and Anjuham Hr. Sec. School were the runners up.
 The 1st (AIKKT) ADARSH INSTITUTIONS KHO-KHO TOURNAMENT on 14 th October
2022 at Gill Adarsh Mat. Hr. Sec. School. The day witnessed the first of its kind Kho-Kho tournament with the exuberant participation of Adarsh group of schools and college. ANNA ADARSH COLLEGE FOR WOMEN and PADMA ADARSH MAT. HR. SEC. SCHOOL went on to script their names in the Sports achievers record of Punjab Association with their outstanding victory.
 The 2 nd AIBT (ADARSH INSTITUTIONS BADMINTON TOURNAMENT) was held on
24 th and 25 th November 2022. Arjun was the semi-finalist in Singles category. Syed
Mohammed Iliyas and Rakash P were the semi-finalists in doubles category.
 In Chennai Central A zone matches conducted at Wesley Hr. Sec. School our boys and girls have won numerous prizes in Junior and Super Senior category in Athletics, Tennikoit, Volleyball and Table Tennis.
 In Chennai Division Level Tournament conducted at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Gill Adarsh champions have garnered a bounty of prizes in Taekwondo, Judo, Boxing,Table Tennis and Silambam.

  1. 1st place in Tamilnadu sub-junior and cadet judo championship 2022-23 in 73kg category

  2. participated in 4thKhelo India youth games 2022

  3. 7th ranking in cadet and junior judo national championship

JAI AKASH - JUDO

  1. 1st place in Chennai division level tournament 2022 in 60kg category

  2. 2nd place in Cadet Boys 60kg category in Tamilnadu Sub Junior & Cadet Junior Championship, 2022-23

DEEPAK - KARATE

  1. 1st place in Individual (kata) at World Karate Championship 2022 in under 13 category.

  2. 2nd place in Boys Individual (Kumite) at World Karate Championship, 2022

SANJAY KUMAR - KARATE 

  1. 3rd place in 1st National Level Open Karate Championship

MOHANASUNDARAM - CHESS

Secured 1st place and ranked 8th in 1stTamilnadu State Level Children Chess and Open Chess Tournament.
